Deputy Speaker Dr. Hemin Hawrami welcomes Member of Denmark's Parliament Mr. Lars Aslan Rasmussen

Kurdistan Parliament Deputy Speaker Dr. Hemin Hawrami on 29 May 2022 welcomed Mr. Lars Aslan Rasmussen, a Member of the Danish Parliament and of the Foreign Affairs Committee.

Deputy Speaker Hawrami gave an overview of Kurdistan Parliament's history, elections, committtees, reserved seats for the ethnic and religious component communities, and the quota for women MPs.

Dr. Hawrami and Mr. Rasmussen discussed political developments in Kurdistan Region and Iraq, and the political and security situation in the Kurdistani areas outside the KRG administrative area.

They also discussed building relations between their respective parliaments.
