Deputy Speaker Dr. Hemin Hawrami and MPs visit Kurdistan Islamic Scholars Union on their 52nd anniversary

Kurdistan Parliament Deputy Speaker Dr. Hemin Hawrami and several MPs on 21 September 2022 visited the Kurdistan Islamic Scholars Union to convey his best wishes on their 52nd anniversary.

Deputy Speaker Hawrami, accompanied by MPs from Parliament’s Endowments and Religious Affairs Committee, were welcomed by the Head of the union Abdullah Saeed Waisi, members of the Executive Bureau and several religious teachers.

On behalf of the Kurdistan Parliament, Deputy Speaker Hawrami congratulated the Kurdistan Islamic Scholars Union and said that they have a great role in serving Islam, guiding society and deepening the strong culture of peaceful coexistence between different religions and communities in Kurdistan Region.

He also referred to the role of Islamic scholars and religious teachers in the history of Kurdistan’s liberation movement.

The Islamic scholars union thanked Dr. Hawrami and the MPs for their visit and said that they will continue to coordinate with Parliament’s Religious Affairs Committee.
