Deputy Speaker Hawrami and Mr. Lentz, discussed the importance of the KRG coalition’s reform agenda to strengthen Kurdistan’s position and economy. Mr. Lentz said that the US supports the reform agenda, which will help the fiscal, business and investment climate.
Kurdistan Regional Government sends Reform Bill to Kurdistan Parliament
On 12 December the Kurdistan Parliament received the Reform Bill (draft law), which the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) Council of Ministers approved on 11 December.
Parliament sits to discuss electricity provision, hold readings of bills
Deputy Speaker Hemin Hawrami on 10 December chaired a sitting of the Kurdistan Parliament at which MPs discussed the problem of insufficient electricity provision in the Kurdistan Region, held the first reading of the Draft Resolution on Turkmen National Days in Kurdistan Region, and the second reading of the Bill on Commercial Advertising.

10 December - The committee, led by the chair Ms. Jiwan Rojbayani (KDP), welcomed Mr. Khalid Shwani, Minister of the Region for Kurdistani Areas outside the KRG Administrative Area; and Dr. Abdulhakim Juzal, Head of the Board of Kurdistani Areas outside the KRG Administrative Area.
