Order of Business for sitting of 7 December 2021

The Speaker of the Kurdistan Parliament Dr. Rewaz Faiq calls MPs to a sitting on Tuesday 7th December 2021 at 12 noon, the 10th ordinary sitting of the autumn session of the third year of the fifth term of Parliament. The Presidency of Parliament announces the order of business of the sitting as follows:

1) To mark 10 years since the passing of Madame Danielle Mitterrand, the friend and champion of the Kurds:

(i) Speaker Dr. Rewaz Faiq will make a speech and welcome Mr. Gilbert Mitterrand, son of the late Madame Danielle Mitterrand, to the Parliament sitting.

(ii) Mr. Gilbert Mitterrand will address the Kurdistan Parliament.

2) Second reading of the Bill on Supervision of Agricultural Projects in Kurdistan Region – Iraq, per articles 87, 88 and 89 of Parliament’s Internal Rules of Procedure.

3) Resignation of MP Sirwan Faraj Muhammad (Independent) from the Relations and Kurdish Diaspora Committee, per Article 28 of Parliament’s Internal Rules of Procedure.

4) Presentation of the findings and recommendations of two committees on their investigations into the attacks by the ISIS terrorist organization on Peshmerga posts and barricades (by the Peshmerga Committee and the Committee on Kurdistani Areas outside the KRG Administrative Area).

5) Second reading of the Bill on Amendments to the Ministry of Finance and Economy in Kurdistan Region – Iraq, per articles 87, 88 and 89 of Parliament’s Internal Rules of Procedure.

6) Presentation of the findings of the Committee on Finance and the Economy on their investigation into the Kurdistan Region’s revenues.

The Presidency of the Kurdistan Parliament decides and announces the order of business of the sitting according to Parliament’s Internal Rules of Procedure, Article 5, Article 16 (paragraph 1), Article 18 (paragraph 3), Article 20 (paragraphs 1, 2, 3, 4, 5), articles 47 and 48, Article 52 (paragraph 1) and articles 54, 55, 56 and 57.
