Deputy Speaker Dr. Hemin Hawrami and MPs attend funeral of tourists killed by artillery bombing in Parakh, Zakho

On 21 July 2022 Kurdistan Parliament Deputy Speaker Dr. Hemin Hawrami, together with MPs from different parties attended the funeral ceremony of the victims of the shelling of Parakh village, a tourist area in Zakho.

Deputy Speaker Hawrami and the MPs conveyed their condolences to the families of the victims who were present at the ceremony.

Kurdistan Region President Nechirvan Barzani, Prime Minister Masrour Barzani's representative and Iraq's Foreign Minister Dr. Fuad Hussein carried the coffins of the citizens who were killed by the Turkish military's artillery bombing, while the tourist resort of Parakh village.

The remains of the victims were repatriated to their homes in other parts of Iraq from Erbil International Airport.
